philodendron erubescens pink princess kaufen Philodendron erubescens 'Pink Princess' – Sprouts of BristolThe Pink Princess gets its name from the pink variegation in its leaves, whose dark green is tinged with pink as well as having bright pink variegation. This philodendron is a vining plant which will climb if you give it a support to climb up; as a young plant it will initially grow straight up but will either look to climb or hang as it grows taller. The Pink Princess gets its name from the pink variegation in its leaves, whose dark green is tinged with pink as well as having bright pink variegation. This philodendron is a vining plant which will climb if you give it a support to climb up; as a young plant it will initially grow straight up but will either look to climb or hang as it grows taller. These plants are used to rainforest undergrowth, so make sure they don't sit in too direct sunlight and they're not in too dry a spot (steer clear of radiators!). With the right amount of light and an occasional mist, this plant will reward you with stunning, bi-coloured foliage.

Scientific Name
Philodendron erubescens (blushing tree-hugger) 'Pink Princess'

This species name was first identified and published in 1854.

Common Names
Pink Princess, Pink Princess Philodendron, Blushing Philodendron, PPP

Origin
Tropical areas of South/Central America

Light
Place in moderate to bright indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight (except maybe an hour per day in winter when it's weaker!) as this can scorch the leaves.

Water
Allow the top two inches of soil to dry out in between waterings (these plants are easy-going so if you wait a little longer to water don't panic!). Ensure good drainage and don't allow it to sit in water.

Humidity
Appreciates above average humidity, but will do just fine in most standard household humidity. Will appreciate a pebble tray, especially if in a dryer spot.

Soil
Use a chunky, well draining mix. One designed for Philodendrons or Monstera, or with added coir, perlite and bark, will work well. Repot every two years in spring as the plant grows.

Food
Will benefit from a light feed throughout spring and summer.

Temperature

Average household temperatures of about 18-28° are fine- try not to place somewhere where temperatures dip below 12°C for extended periods.

Pet-safe
No, this plant is toxic to pets and small humans.

Sprouts Top Tips
Water with tepid rather than cold water to avoid shocking the plant. Rotate it now and then to promote even growth. Avoid draughty spots.

My dog loves bam-bones
Size: 5.25 inch (Pack of 1)
I wasn’t sure how my dog would like this since it’s stick shaped instead of the typical Y or T shaped bones. She was apprehensive at first but eventually loved it. She’s on her second one now. They don’t last quite as long as the name-brand nylon bones but she loves them the same and they’re a better price.

Good product, except that dogs don’t seem interested.
Size: 5.25 inch (Pack of 1), Size: 5.25 inch (Pack of 1)
It’s a good side for 8-20lb dogs which are the size dogs I foster. So far none of my fosters have been interested in this particular toy. I’m not sure why. It seems like a quality product, that is not so hard that it will hurt teeth but, durable enough that it will last for moderate chewers. I appreciate that it had some texture for pups to work their paws and mouths around. Again, none of the dogs here have been interested yet but other than that, as far as I can tell the product is good. I’ll update if I ever get a foster that goes HAM for it.

Ok
Size: 5.25 inch (Pack of 1)
My pups not overly interested in it. If it had some texture it would be better. The price was right though, and it gives him some variety in his toys.
